Prior update, October 10, 2025: During New York Comic Con, Prime Video confirmed that Season 4 of 'Invincible,' the adult animated series based on Robert Kirkman’s acclaimed comic books, is scheduled to debut in March 2026. The platform also released a teaser trailer reminiscent of a burger joint called Burger Mart, which hints at some unpredictable plot elements, and revealed that Lee Pace, known for roles in 'Foundation' and 'Bodies Bodies Bodies,' will finally bring to life the infamous Viltrumite warlord Thragg. As Grand Regent of the Viltrum Empire, Thragg is a character shaped by intense training from birth, wielding strength, ruthless cruelty, and unwavering willpower. His goal? Restoring Viltrum to its former dominance at any cost, making him a major threat to our heroes.
'Invincible' is based on a hit comic book series crafted by Robert Kirkman, with contributions from comic artists Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. The series wrapped up its third season—comprising eight episodes—in February and, quite notably, received an early renewal for a fifth season at the Summer Comic-Con in San Diego, signaling strong confidence in its continued popularity.
In this universe, as chaos gradually subsides after catastrophic events, a transformed Mark Grayson—voiced by Steven Yeun—struggles to defend his loved ones and his home, all while facing a threat that could forever change humanity’s destiny. The series boasts an impressive cast that includes familiar names like Sandra Oh, J.K. Simmons, Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Matthew Rhys, and many others, emphasizing its appeal to a wide audience.
Produced by Skybound Entertainment’s animation division, the series features executive production by creator Robert Kirkman alongside Rogen, David Alpert, Catherine Winder, and other talented producers. Co-executives Helen Leigh and Cory Walker also contribute to shaping the series.
